Our first film of the year - just for the fun of it. .
A funny and at times dark political satire that features Warren Beatty as a discouraged U.S. Senator Bulworth, who has organized his own assassination, but after a three-day bender of not sleeping, decides that he really wants to live. The film is appropriately rated R for language and .357 magnum-toting 7-year-olds. ...But it effectively uses this to point out the disconnects between politicians and their constituencies. Also features Halle Berry. Witty, twisted, outrageous and entertaining. .
