The Seattle Antiwar Action Coalition (SAWAC) is a newly formed, diverse and democratic coalition looking to turn the massive antiwar sentiment in Seattle and the Northwest into a vibrant movement with the power to end the war. We are planning a march and rally in Seattle on October 11, and strongly encourage antiwar activists throughout the Northwest to join us in Seattle or organize antiwar activities in other communities for that date.
We'll begin with a rally at Pratt Park (20th & Yesler). The march will go past the recruiting stations at 23rd and Jackson on the way to Cal Anderson Park (11th & Pine). more...

SoJust 2008 - A Festival for Social Justice
So'Just is an all-volunteer organized event. The So'Just mission is to declare a day of justice through art, music, and dance. The vision is:
1· To harvest the creative splendor of socially conscious artists who have sown the seeds of peace, justice, and equality in our own backyards;
2· To nurture conversations about our environment, equality and Justice for all in areas as the legal system, wages, housing, healthcare, and education;
3· To mobilize our community to transform vision into infrastructure, words into action, and isolation to collective struggle; and
4· To create an annual event.
