He has authored many articles and has lectured extensively on the subject of immigration law, and will speak about challenges to immigrants’ rights in the post 9/11 era, particularly under the USA PATRIOT Act and other antiterrorist legislation. Mal Al-Cheddar is a widely traveled expert in Iraqi history, regional culture, arts and music. She is the founder and director of "Iraqi House", an arts and cultural center in Baghdad which was destroyed and rebuilt as a result of the first Gulf War. It remained the only intellectual center in Baghdad throughout the 90’s.
Nerima Al Mufti is an internationally recognized Iraqi journalist.
