Join 21 Acres on the first Saturday of every month and learn how to prepare your own local, seasonal food for your infant and toddler. Participants will help prepare their own pureed baby food or delicious toddler snack and also learn about general, infant, and toddler specific food safety.

Join 21 Acres on the first Saturday of every month and learn how to prepare your own local, seasonal food for your infant and toddler. Participants will help prepare their own pureed baby food or delicious toddler snack and also learn about general, infant, and toddler specific food safety. Emphasis will be on what a growing child needs and how to use local, seasonal, organic food to achieve that on a budget. Don't have a blender or food processor at home? No problem. You'll leave with 3 jars (6 oz.) worth of Washington-grown food for your baby to enjoy or snacks for your toddler that you helped make -- plus, the inspiration and knowledge to make more at home.
Matt Keen, 21 Acres? Nutrition and Local Food Education Coordinator, and Jessica Hoffman, RDN, CD, graduated from Bastyr University with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences. Hoffman specializes in food allergies, prenatal nutrition, women's health, and pediatric nutrition. She is a mother of two and currently works as a nutrition counselor in Bellevue and Kirkland.
◊ Due to the seasonal availability of foods the menu will change each month, so come back for more ideas or to try something new.
◊ Please remember to bring small glass jars or BPA free baby food containers to take home your baby food.
Registration & Enrollment
