The event is a panel discussion focused on the concept and advantages of a Seattle public municipal bank. A public bank could reduce city reliance on expensive private bond issuances, finance city projects while lowering reliance on taxation, and partner with community banks and credit unions to support small business, public projects, and other local endeavors. The event is free and open to the public.
