"Argentina: Hope In Hard Times" traces the impact on the people of Argentina after the collapse of their economy in 2001, and describe in beautiful detail the beginnings of an inspired democratic recovery. This is the story of people finding their strength against the economic domination of "globalization" through unity at the neighbor-to-neighbor level, taking control of their own future and rediscovering their humanity in the process. The clear message to the governmental leaders of the world is this: "If you don't want to work for the people, get out of the way" This film emphasizes both the opportunities and the critical importance of building the strength of our own community connections here at home, today in a time when our own country's own economic future is tough to predict, Great music and stunning photography. Filmmakers Melissa Young and Mark Dworkin will discuss the film and update us on changes they documented on their recent visit back to Argentina.
Followed by Q&A and Facilitated Discussion.
